ich will folgende website überprüfen mit w3c validator:

allerdings krieg ich folgende meldung und werde nicht schlau daraus!

Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication.

was kann ich dagegen machen?

Auf welcher Seite validierst du. Ich habe es mal auf http://www.validome.org/validate versucht. Wenn ich bei Zeichensatzkodierung UTF-8 mache geht es dort auch nicht. Wenn ich ISO 8859-1 mache, dann geht es mit einigen Fehlermeldungen. Vielleicht geht UTF-8 nicht weil du Umlaute im Quellcode hast.
